Righteous Kill, Al Pacino and De Niro in a Team

Righteous Kill is a story about two old cops who decided not to hang their badges until they can solve their last case; a serial murder that is targeting criminal who get loose illegally.

Just like any other cop movie, righteous Kill has all the stuffs such as streets of New York, victims, interrogations, internal affair, shooting and all. If it is not because of the two, this movie would’ve been flat. The script (written by  Russell Gewirtz, the guy who wrote Inside Man) is somewhat dull and so predictable. Thanks to Al and Bob, they have sucessfuly made it sound better.

The appearance of Donnie Wahlberg and John Leguizamo has given a touch of fresh color to the movie. They played as younger cops who know that there is more to the case than the two veterans would admit. Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson is okay. Here, he played as a leader of a drug dealer gang (why is it always have to be blacks? ther is no white drug dealer I guess).

All in all, this movie is not bad and not to good at the same time. Well, perhaps it is hovering just above the mediocre line. Still entertaining, especially with Al Pacino and De Niro duo.
