It’s an older version of Bourne. It got same solo action hero, who can beat as many thugs as possible single handedly. This time, Liam Neeson plays as a retired CIA agent whose daughter, Maggie Grace, was kidnapped and determined to get her. He travelled across the ocean to Franch and waged a personal with some Arabs criminals (now that’s a litle bit racial, isn’t?). So, he met them, killed them and grabbed her daughter back amid her wife’s (Maggie Grace) initial disagreement.
Although it looks like Bourne, but it is not - not even Transporter. There are some element missing here. The plot is just to common and the idea of Arabs kidnappers was so out of date.
The movie was directed by Pierre Morel (District 13) and written by the same team that wrote the Transporter, Robert Mark Kamen and Luc Besson. That’s why, the way the camera rolls, reminded me so much those movies.
There nothing special about his one, so don’t expect too much. So, just sit there, have some popcorn and enjoy the movie. It will end sooner than you thought. Go bring your kids if you like. Just watch out for some of bloody scene and some sexual content.
