Lot’s have been filmed about the failed assassination trial of Adolf Hitler. And this one seems to follow that train of movies. Some are successful, some are flops. This one seems to fall into the latter category.
Starred and produced by Tom Cruise (played as Stauffenberg, an SS officer) and written by Christopher McQuarrie and directed by Bryan Singer, the guys that wrote The Usual Suspect.Other Cast are good brits such as Tom Wilkinson and Eddie Izzard who were sucessful at stealing the audience attention with their performance.
This movie seem to get stuck at the predicted result since we know that the assassination failed. But, that’s not the reason. Just take a look at Titanic. We know that the guy will eventually die, but they have created a love story in it. Or, check out the witty script of Thirteen Days.
So, where are the positives? Well, actually the guy who set up the wardrobes should be given some credits. I mean, who on earth still having Nazi uniforms? Not only one. That’s one piece dangerous collection.
Overall, the movie is failure, worst than Cruise’s attempt with The Last Samurai. But, it is interesting enough….rather than doing nothing.
