It is the year 0f 2415 and all people live in an almost perfect society lead by a megalomaniacal New World leaders. Things started to fall apart when Ms Flux’s sister got killed and she was determined to find the mastermind.
The rest is very predictable. Action stuffs, funny costume, bad dialogues are all cramped in this film, not to mention other ingredients such as cloning, bad hairstyle and futuristic weapons.
Actually, this film is based on an animated MTV series in the early 90’s with the same titled. The movie expanded into a comic book and of course, video games. But, somewhere along the way, somebody seemed to forget quality.
It is quite surprising to know that a movie like this is starred by Oscar winners cass such as Charlize Theron and Frances McDormand. I guess we can call them Oscar winners gone bad.
Directed by Karyn Kusama, the movie has really proved that aenflux should stay in comic and video game. Better stay at your home and watch soap operas rather than waste your money to buy a movie ticket to watch this one. I’ll give 3,5 out of 10 for Aeonflux the movie.
